2019 Weddings in Review

One of my very first favorite blog posts of the entire year is here: 2019 Best of Weddings!!!

At the end of every year, I love to look back through the past twelve months and create a collection of my favorite images and memories in one place. I say it every year, but I’ll say it again: I am so over-the-moon thankful for every single one of these couples and their families! Having the chance to witness a wedding day — to be there from the getting ready portion of the morning until the lights have dropped and the dance floor is packed — is one of the greatest honors of my life! Meeting these couples, their friends, and their family, assisting them with whatever they  need throughout the day, and making sure their story is told brings me so much joy!! I am so thankful for the trust they put in me and recognize what a huge responsibility it is to truly capture someone’s day. Thank you, thank you!!

I also have to recognize another huge area of gratitude in my life: YOU. It’s true that I put a lot of work into this business of mine, and I am so proud of the brand and experience I’ve built.  But at the end of the day? So much of my success is because of you. THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart for all your referrals — for your kind words — your support — your messages encouraging me and reminding me that what I do matters — your tags and mentions in posts of newly engaged friends — your shares of my work — everything. You may not think it’s a lot, but to me, it simply is. Your support of my business has allowed me to travel the country, meet so many amazing people, and impact countless families and friends in a positive away — all while being able to stay home with my boys during the week and invest in their lives, too! It’s a dream come true, and I am just so grateful for you!

With that, let’s get to the images!!! I am so proud to share my favorite images from the entire year — enjoy this review of my 2019 weddings, friends!

Let’s start things off with one of my favorite days EVER: Mark and Whitney’s Columbia Club wedding!! These two are simply the best. I first met Whitney when I photographed her sister’s wedding, and getting to capture her day as well was an honor I’ll never forget! Their day was classic, elegant, and FUN, and I loved every minute of it!

Next up, Nicole and Adam’s amazing spring wedding day at the Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion! I love these two and their relationship so much, and they put together the must stunning day to celebrate the start of their marriage. Their dance floor was packed all night long — and I’ll forever love that bouquet by none other than Bella Sorella Floral Design!

This photo from Shelby and Matt’s wedding at The Mill Top in Noblesville will always be a favorite — I loved their day so much! Shelby and Matt put together the most amazing day (and floral wall! oh my goodness!!) — and of course, getting to work with Bella Sorella Floral Design again is always a win!

And goodness gracious, these two. I know you just saw a lot of them on the blog earlier this week — but I can’t get enough! Natasha and Joe’s Union Station wedding was the perfect way to end an already amazing wedding season, and I am so glad I was a part of it! The joy these two share together is infectious, and their day was a perfect reflection of that! Loved working with Jessica Dum Wedding Coordination and Meg Catherine Flowers on this one!

Forever a favorite ceremony shot by Maggie — the framing, the light, and the look on Whitney’s face as Mark said his vows to her!!

Catching these kinds of interactions throughout the day is always a favorite of mine…love this shot of Whitney, her mom, and Grandpa!

And these two. Ohhhh my goodness! Hannah and Ethen are two of the sweetest and most down-to-earth people I know — celebrating their marriage is a memory I’ll always treasure! Driving in the car singing T. Swift…all the silly poses (and sweet moments!!) these two busted out…the New Orleans King Cake Ethen made on his own! What a day!

Also, if I could photograph the reception hall space in the Columbia Club every day, I would. Simply incredible!!!

….that “we-are-about-to-get-married-and-no-one-knows” feeling!!!! Eek!!! Getting to capture Meg and Josh’s elopement was a highlight of the year, and I am so glad they invited me to be a part of their celebration!!

Aunt Bekah and Uncle Brian!! Getting to photograph their Chicago wedding day was an absolute BLAST — spending the weekend with family after two days with Chris in the Windy City was a favorite memory of the whole year. Love the joy these two share!

Shelby!!!

Loved catching this “mother/son” dance during Whitney and Mark’s reception!!

And this capture of Tim’s speech makes me smile every time! I loved that Bekah and Brian rented out a floor at a local Italian restaurant for their reception dinner — it was cozy and perfect. So much joy!

That first kiss!!!! Also, outdoor ceremonies are forever and ever my favorite.

That time when Hannah’s sister drove to attend her wedding a mere DAYS after having her first little girl!!!! The sweetest newborn, the best sister, and one happy dad — loved this family so much!

Because of course I had to hop into the frame for a quick cousin pic at Aunt Bekah’s wedding, too! My favorite people in the world!

And that’s a wrap, folks! If you stuck through this post until the end, THANK YOU for all of your support — I truly wouldn’t be able to do any of this without you!! Happy New Year, friends!!
