This post has been in the works for a few weeks now, and let me just say how hard it was to narrow down my favorites from all of the amazing weddings I had the joy of photographing this past year! Ahh! There is nothing like witnessing the complete happiness a couple shares as they begin their lives together — I’m obsessed with it and love that I get to call this my job!!! These images — the ones full of joy and life and love — these are what keep me fired up and excited! Truly capturing my couples as they are makes the late nights and #naptimehustles worth it!

2016 will forever be an extra special wedding season for me. You see, not only was it full of wonderful couples & unforgettable moments, but it also was the first one I experienced as a mom. Photographing weddings through the new eyes of parenthood impacted me in more ways than I could have imagined as I found myself overwhelmed with emotion throughout the day. Seriously!! Being a mom somehow made wedding day all that more magical — something I didn’t even think was possible — and when I was picking out the best of the best images for this post, I couldn’t help but think of the day when I will get to watch Ryan fall in love with his better half and commit to living his life with an amazing, godly, loving woman, too! What a beautiful thing marriage is, and what an honor it is to celebrate it with so many amazing families throughout the year!!!
