This sweet Indianapolis newborn session was full of summer fun and light! I always love getting to photograph past newborn families again — catching up with the moms and dads and seeing my little former newborn babes as big brothers and sisters is such a gift!!

When I photograph firstborns, I know the session will most likely feel calm and peaceful (like it was for Olivia’s newborn session three years ago!). However, when I’m coming in to celebrate a newborn session with a new brother or sister, it’s often the opposite! This is where my three-boy-mom / former teacher / wedding photographer hats fit right in place! :)

With these sessions, my goal is to slide right into the energy and still the moments that often feel loud in those wild yet wonderful postpartum days. There really is SO MUCH GOODNESS to be found (in all of life!) when we take the time to slow down and find it, and I walk away from every session eager to get back into my images and see the everyday magic we captured.

Baby Tommy’s session was full of all the little brother things like tickles and snuggles and kisses and checking on his teeny tiny toes. And of course, we still had those sweet and quiet newborn moments with mom and dad while Olivia played off camera. ;) I adored everything about my time with this fam, and am so excited to share some favorites with you today!
