Living in Cleveland, it’s not every day I get to photograph an outdoor family session during the months of January – March! We’re talking weeks of -10/-20 degree weather!!! Gah!! So, when Michelle contacted me about taking their family photo for a very specific purpose AND said they’d be up for a quick session outside, I knew we had to make it happen :) Luckily, NE Ohio had a bit of a heat-wave last week (22 degrees, folks!), so we were able to meet outdoors for the fastest mini-session ever! Now, I don’t normally offer mini-sessions outside of specific dates, but, as I mentioned above, the Pittmans had a very specific and unique need.

You see, Michelle & Jerome have been missionaries to Ireland for the past 15 years through Cleveland Baptist. Their family is now relocating their focus to Sweden, and they were in need of an updated family photo to send with their prayer cards before they make the big move! I LOVE the idea of these photos going throughout the country to families who support and encourage the Pittmans daily — that it may be a reminder of their love and purpose! This session was definitely different than my norm, but I enjoyed my short time with their family so much, so I just had to share a few photos on the blog anyway :)
