There is nothing quite like in-home lifestyle sessions — especially when they include sweet little babies! Every single one leaves me smiling a little bigger and feeling a whole lot lighter; it’s just the nature of photographing a brand new life! My families invite me into their homes during such a vulnerable time, all for the chance to capture a glimpse of the new form their family is taking. Having a baby truly does change everything in the best ways possible! And I am forever thankful to call documenting those changes my job. :)

It goes without saying, but leaving the Elliott’s home this past weekend was no exception. I am so happy to share Owen’s newborn session with you today! At only six days old, he was an absolute ROCKSTAR, and it was so fun seeing the way his parents love him to the moon and back already! Breana and Derek spent the last nine months waiting for Owen to be here, and now that he is…well, I’ll just let the images speak for themselves. After spending some time in Owen’s nursery, we ended the session in Breana and Derek’s room with some snuggly bed photos. I love these images so much!

Poor Kona was very intrigued by my camera and just wanted to sniff it non-stop! What a sweet girl!
