I had been looking forward to photographing the Romines from the moment Jon contacted me about surprising his wife with the session for her birthday a few weeks earlier. How sweet is that?! We decided to meet downtown near the canal and White River State Park for the photos, and we totally lucked out with the one sunny night of the entire week!!
It’s always fun to photograph new families; however, I’ve actually known Jon since high school — he was one of my English teachers (and YES, it’s still so weird to not call him “Mr. Romine”!!) and was a huge motivator behind my decision to become a teacher as well! It was great to catch up with him and get to know his family better as we explored the Canal and enjoyed the sunny weather. Even from our short time together, it’s so clear what great boys he and Shannon are raising, and I am over-the-moon happy to share some of my favorites with you today!
Enjoy!
Of course, we found the coolest tree a few minutes into the session! Love these ones so much!!Such a ham!! :)I still remember finding out Mr. Romine and his wife were high school sweethearts during class one day — my friends and I thought that was the cutest story ever, and I loved getting to photograph a few of just the two of them, too!
I told you the tree was the best!!!Love these ones so much — Charlie, Josh, and Luke are a blast!!!!A favorite for sure!
