I’ve been thinking a lot about intentional generosity & gratitude lately.

How it’s something that is so easy to let slide, something so often looked over in our culture, and something I definitely want more of in my life!

The closer we get to the holidays, the more I have been convicted of how much ME is in my life. In a time meant for GIVING, I tend to get really caught up in the receiving. I am famous for going christmas shopping for others & throwing in a thing or two for me on the way…anyone else with me?!

Our church has spent the past semester going through the “Transformation” series by Rick Warren, and throughout the time I’ve been really convicted on the idea of investing. It’s so easy to invest in my business, or to invest in financial accounts & savings…but to invest in others? That’s a whole ‘nother ball game.

And what’s silly about this is that it’s even EASIER to convince ourselves that we do “enough” already (whatever that is..). I’ve found myself justifying things, thinking “Well, Chris & I have a Compassion child, we tithe regularly, we support missions, we put money into savings…so that’s gotta be enough, right?” And, yes, while those things are all great awesome things, I’ve been learning that what really matters is the heart behind them.

It’s a shame how easy it is for me to take good things and turn them into a checklist.

So, as it is the season to give, I wanted to take that generosity & put it back into my business. I know this is a time where money is often tight, so I am going to offer a month of mini-sessions perfect for that last minute Christmas card, or just to send out to family & friends! And, 25% of the proceeds from those sessions will go directly to the Cleveland Food Bank to help local families in need this holiday season.

What: $100 Family or Couples Mini-Session, 15-30 minutes, 15+ photos (perfect for Christmas cards!)

When: Booked before December 7th

Where: Rocky River Reservation, Lakewood Detroit entrance

Why? $25 from every session will go directly to local families in need via the Cleveland Food Bank.

These sessions could be scheduled on weekdays at 4pm, the weekend before Thanksgiving, or the first weekend of December.
