Photography Bucket List

I’ve been thinking a lot about the moments I’d love to photograph lately and decided that it would be fun to share on the blog! As I compiled this list, I realized a lot of them come back to the idea of capturing ordinary occurrences: the simple things that we often miss, but in all actuality mean the most. I also realized that lot of these bucket list dreams come from photos I wish I had captured for myself and memories I hope to document in the future!  Some of them may sound a little silly…but booking any one of these sessions would be a dream come true! So, weird or not, I’m sharing them today just in case reading over them sparks the same fire in you. If so, send me a message so we can make it happen :)

I’m separating them into two different categories for organization purposes, but a lot of them could go back and forth between! I’m also sure I will forever be adding to this list, but I feel pretty good about it for now. I have no idea if any of these will ever happen, but I do know for sure the chances of my photography dreams occurring drastically increase when I share them, so here they are!

Weddings/Engagements:

  • A daddy/daughter first look
  • A bridal session (in her wedding dress or a simple cozy boudoir session to surprise her husband with on their wedding day!)
  • A sweet engagement or anniversary session at a Christmas tree farm
  • A lifestyle engagement session at a cute outdoor farmer’s market
  • An outdoor ceremony with a gorgeous floral arch
  • A bridal or engagement session with a floral crown or other floral accessory
  • A succulent & striped themed wedding or styled shoot

Lifestyle Portraits:

  • A snuggly family PJ session with littles on a big comfy bed!
  • An “our first home” session
  • A family making cookies or pancakes in an open & bright kitchen :)
  • A florist making a gorgeous bouquet (bonus points for a bright well-lit space with peonies and succulents included!! #imobsessed)
  • A family session on Lake Michigan dunes at sunset
  • An adoption celebration session
  • A maternity session at home with lots of snuggles and soft colors
  • A romantic anniversary sunrise session

Dream Locations:

  • Washington DC (my birthplace!!)
  • Seaside, FL
  • New York City in general….
  • …Central Park specifically :)
  • A gorgeous wedding barn (I’m checking this off the list this year!!)
  • Ireland
  • Paris
  • San Francisco (again!!)

  1. […] it’s safe to say we were all super happy with our final arrangements! It’s been on my bucket list to photograph the creation of a bouquet, so I was thrilled to bring along my camera and document […]
