Oh my goodness, am I excited to share Kelsey and Jarrod’s wedding day with you or WHAT! These two are just the absolute best, so it was no surprise that their Lake Wawasee celebration was a perfect reflection of their kindness and joy!
There are so many things that I want to always remember about their day, so I thought I would make a list of my favorite moments to keep an eye out for as you scroll:
- Not one, not two, but THREE first looks to kick the day off — and not a dry eye for a single one of them!
- Kelsey’s “something borrowed” was a necklace of her mother’s, given by her father on their 25th wedding anniversary. And that was just the start of the legacy of marriage threaded throughout their whole day!
- One word: Collins. Jarrod’s sweet little god-daughter was the BEST flower girl, and neither Maggie nor I could stop taking her photo all day long. Haha!
- Kelsey’s grandpa officiated their ceremony, which was incredibly sweet. The rain held off, it wasn’t *too* hot, and everything was perfect…right up until he mistakingly referred to Jarrod as “Kevin”….and it became the running joke of the day. Lol!!
- All of their guests lined the pathway for them to get to their “Just Married” boat after the ceremony and threw confetti as they walked through. It. Was. AMAZING!!
- Jarrod arriving in a SWEET car to start the ceremony…and Collins running out of flowers about two feet down the aisle, resulting in her dad running up and walking her down the rest of the way (cue the tears on my end — I just kept thinking about how the next time he’ll walk her down the aisle, she’ll be getting MARRIED!!)!
- Kelsey’s older sisters were her Maids of Honor, and the entire day I was just so impressed with their relationship. They are so incredibly close, and I kept thinking about how much I want my boys to reflect the way they care and honor one another! Their shared MOH speech during the reception was the perfect mix of humor and sentiment!
- During the “Anniversary Dance”, the videographer and I kept commenting on how many couples were up for such a long time! It was an amazing testament to marriage, and I love that Kelsey and Jarrod already have such a firm foundation to start their own marriage on, too!
I could keep going on and on…but you’re probably ready to get to the picture part of the blog, I’m guessing. :)
So, I’ll end with this. When I first met Kelsey, shared how she had dreamed of having her wedding at the lake ever since she was a little girl. I am so incredibly thankful to have been chosen to be the one to capture her life-long dream come true.
