HAPPY Monday,and an even happier DECEMBER!!! It’s so crazy to me that November has already come and gone…but it has!!! On to my favorite month of the year — and CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!! :) :)

Hopefully this Monday finds you rested and thankful after some great family time this past week (or maybe you’re rested and thankful to be back at work away from family :P haha!)!  I personally LOVE time home in Indianapolis — the last few times I’ve gone back have been work related, so I really enjoyed getting to hang out with family without an agenda or plan :) Whether it was Target shopping with my sister, Ascension playing with my little brother, or the whole family trip to see Mockingjay (SO. GOOD.!!!), I just love our time together.

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is going downtown to see the #circleoflights tree lighting!! It was super chilly this year, but still such a fun way to kick off the season with some of my favorites!

It was also so great to bust out the Christmas tunes!!! I am a strict no-christmas-before-thanksgiving kind of girl, so you better believe I take advantage of every Christmas song moment throughout the month of December :) Current favorites are often found on the Michael Buble Holiday Pandora station…or the #shereadstruth Christmas spotify channel :)

I also LOVED seeing all of the #smallbusinesssaturday excitement this past weekend on instagram! Social Media often gets a bad rep with cyber-bullying & the oh-too-easy problem of comparison, and I am the first one to admit I use it a little too often (one of my goals for the new year is going to revolve around figuring out a way to better balance my use for sure), but it also can be such an encouraging & resourceful tool!! I am so proud of everyone who busts their butt to bring a little more joy & simplicity  into the world — it just makes you feel a little better about pressing that “purchase” button when you know it’s directly supporting great people :)

Overall, it was a really great beginning to the most wonderful time of the year, and I can’t wait to see what this month has in store!! Between Christmasfriendsgiving this weekend, tree shopping & decking the halls, hosting my family on Christmas day, and lots & lots of wrapping and giving, I know it’s going to be great :)
