Monday Lovin’

Flu: 1 Sami: 0

But, really. I pretty much wasn’t even slightly a functioning human being last week! In fact, there were some days I didn’t even have enough energy to turn Netflix on (!!!!!). Lots of tears were shed, trust me. Or just ask my husband, I’m sure he will tell you how much fun I am to be around when I’m sick :) :) And, while I’m still not 100%, I am definitely feeling better, which is something I couldn’t say until about Saturday-ish, so thank goodness for that!

So, the first thing I am loving this Monday is the fact that I am back at work!! Ahh! :) I’m also loving being back to work photography wise too. I spent yesterday catching up on some projects, planning some fun Christmas surprises (secrets secrets!), and working on album designs! 2014 was the first year of official business for me, and it’s amazing just how much I’ve learned in the past 12 months — and how much I’ve realized I need to change. I was able to spend a lot of time reflecting from the couch last week, and I can’t wait to get a chance to sit down & improve, revamp, and enhance some areas that need a little somethin’ somethin’!

I am also loving the new #SheReadsTruth series on thankfulness. I just downloaded their free lockscreen today for the week’s memory verse — such an easy way to be reminded of God’s truth!! Because let’s be honest, I look at my phone more often than I’d care to count…

I love that they chose a verse tying together thankfulness with the act of remembering. Sometimes in life it’s just plain hard to be thankful. I got a small glimpse of that this past week, but a week of sickness is nothing compared to some. However, we all go through times where it just seems IMPOSSIBLE to be thankful for our current circumstance. And, my friends, that’s where the remembering part of thanksgiving takes its turn. When we remember how God has redeemed pains of the past, when we recall the blessings we’ve already received, we can replace our current frustration with hope for the future.

Otherwise, there is not too much to recap here on the blog! Molly Ann’s session promised last week will be showing up on Wednesday, and then it will be time for some much-needed family fun!! Here’s to another week of intentional thankfulness & remembrance :)

Love love love,

Sami
