Sometimes life can really be unloveable.
This post is coming a little late today because, to be honest, whenever I would think about the little funny things I could mention, it just seemed trivial.
Yes, Trader Joes’ pumpkin raviolis are basically God’s gift to grocery stores everywhere, and yes, I am loving that I got a weekend off with my hubs and a girls night out with some great friends, and yeah, it’s also pretty great that it is FALL and I got to bust out my sweater box this weekend….but I’m also really NOT loving the fact that, for a lot of people I love very very much, life is not being so great to them right now.
I’m not loving that so many of my students walk into my classroom with pain just radiating off of them.
I’m not loving the general feeling of brokenness that seems to be all around me.
This series was never meant to be fake positivity; in fact, the whole purpose behind the Monday Love was to be a reminder that even in the midst of life’s trials and craziness there are always things to be grateful for. It was so easy for me to get into that rut of thanklessness last winter, and practicing gratitude has turned that around in my life in more ways than I can count.
But sometimes, it’s just not so clear.
So for today, I choose to be thankful for a God who promises to redeem — even when that redemption seems utterly impossible.
I am loving that our God is for us. And I pray that you may know he is for YOU.
And yes, I am also still loving those TJs pumpkin ravs too :)
Speaking of pumpkins… I got to photograph the cutest one ever yesterday! Be on the lookout for more of this handsome little dude; he was the best & I can’t wait to share more of his sweet self!!
Love love love,
Sami
