Well, hey there! It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve been in this place…these past few weeks have brought a whole bunch of crazy, and, as I saw myself struggling to give my best in what seemed like 10 million places, I knew something had to drop for a bit. I love blogging and believe so strongly in its benefits, so, while stepping back from the blog was hard to do, it was absolutely necessary!
The end of the school year was full of wrapping up projects, finishing paperwork, and grading final exams. On top of that, ALL my top Indianapolis schools I had applied to ages ago decided those last 2 weeks of class would be the prime time to schedule interviews galore!!! Haha! I know I have no room to complain there and I was SO thankful to meet with them and have options — but geeze! did that make everything even more complicated! I have been offered a position with an amazing district, and I can’t WAIT to give you more information in the future!
And, just because we like to do everything at once apparently, Chris & I also found a HOUSE!! One of the “quick” trips I made back to Indy gave us some time to look at houses together, and we both fell in love with a place we will hopefully be able to call ours! We’re in the middle of the closing process and praying every day that things will continue to come together.
By the way…who knew there was so much that went into purchasing a home?! There is no way I could have handled all the paperwork and deadlines while also making it through the school year and interviews!! I am so thankful for all the work my super saavy husband has put into the process; I couldn’t have made it through a single part of this without him!
Needless to say, this year is bringing all sorts of changes to our life together. It can be overwhelming at times, but I know that it will be good. As Robin Sharma says, “CHANGE is hard at the beginning, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end.” I can’t wait to see what this next chapter will look like! Currently, I am enjoying time with my sister as she is visiting Cleveland, packing up my classroom for my trip back to Indy this week, editing the gorgeous wedding I photographed on Saturday, planning for the relocation of my business this July, face-timing Chris whenever we get the chance, and soaking up these last few weeks in one of my favorite cities!
Speaking of gorgeous weddings..I can’t wait to share more of Brian & Christy’s day! We started the morning with a 100% chance of rain and ended up with clear skies and gorgeous weather. It was perfect!
You can also look forward to this gorgeous girl on the blog Wednesday! Emma’s senior session was such a joy, and I know you will love getting to know her sweet self :)
And that’s a wrap! Have a beautiful Monday my friend!
Love love love,
Sami
