This weekend was beautiful. 

Soak-up-the-sun, wade-in-the-water, devour-all-the-desserts kind of beautiful, and I loved every second of it! I mean, come on people, I wore SHORTS on Saturday! Shorts!!! If that’s not a reason to celebrate in Cleveland, I’m not quite sure what is! :)

As always, some lovely moments & thoughts galore from the past week:

• Breakfast tastes better when it’s called brunch. Add in a back patio & Pandora to the mix, and you’ve got the perfect morning! Chris and I kicked our weekend off with some Town Hall Saturday morning, and it couldn’t have been yummier :) FYI The Sweet Potato Hot Cake “side” is definitely not a side. It’s HUGE, and I loved it. :)
• Dog birthdays are hilarious. We were able to bust out quite a few awesome shots from G’s 1st Birthday on Thursday, but let me tell you….it took probably 50+ photos to get there! #noheisnotthatphotogenic #wearejustpersistent
• Also, Graham may or may not have taken a good chunk out of that party hat post insta video. Eek!
•  The Kentucky Derby might possibly be one of my new favorite things! A) The event itself lasts roughly 2 minutes, so that’s awesome, and B) Well…like I said, it lasts roughly 2 minutes! Need I say more?!? For this gal, that meant a lot of time chatting with friends and eating tasty desserts :) #bestsportseventever
• “If you live off a man’s compliments, you’ll die from his criticism.” <<< Found this bad boy on Pinterest recently and it has been circling in my mind ever since! Why is it so dang hard to not crave validation?! No answers here for ya, just something I’ve been thinking about…
• And finally, Chris & I are in the process of house-hunting in Indianapolis, and it is a bit overwhelming to say the least!! Last week we put together our list of “must-haves”, “should-haves”, and “would-be-nice-but-not-necessary”s, and, while that brought a little clarity, we’re still a bit stressed at the thought of such a big purchase! I’ve started updating my “s&c home” board on Pinterest and would love to hear your advice, too! Help a girl out :)
