As always, some things I’m loving this first Monday in March :)
- Our church is starting up a new book series for our Tuesday night home groups, and I am so excited to begin Chapter 1 of Crazy Love this week! I’ve actually had a copy for a while now…but, I’ll be honest, so far it has just collected dust on my shelf. I’m looking forward to reading and discussing it with some of my best Cleveland friends!
- Nights out with your co-workers are some of the best times :) I loved celebrating my co-teacher’s birthday on Friday and chaperoning the LHS Winter Formal on Saturday with two of my favorite teachers out there! You should’ve heard the cheers that sounded when “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” came on — I felt like I was back in the early 2000s all over again!
- Turning off your phone notifications is the best thing ever. Kat of Dear Sweetheart Events challenged me to do this during her webinar last week, and it has been so freeing! At first I worried about not being able to keep up with Instagram/Facebook comments and email replies, but then I realized how RIDICULOUS that was. If you are still a slave to that dumb red flag, get rid of it! You’ll thank me, I promise :)
- Chris and I ran to the grocery store on Sunday, and, even though it was dumping snow outside, I made my first Spring floral purchase: some fresh white tulips! I can’t WAIT for them to bloom — having them on our mantle as they are now just makes me smile!
- Speaking of our mantle, I finally put away our Christmas decorations on Friday. #oops?
- And finally, I am really excited to launch The Newsletter this week! If you haven’t signed up already — check out The Newsletter page underneath the “Details” tab above to receive special announcements, tips, and discounts. Whether you’re a Sami Renee client, a fellow photographer, or just an old friend who loves following along, I look forward to seeing you there!
And, because my chaperone fun at Lakewood’s formal made me reminisce on some high school dance days of my own…
Thank you, 2006.
:) Happy Monday!
Love love love,
Sami
