I just went back to check — and the last newborn session I shared on the blog is from more than 4 months ago!!! How is that even possible?! Ah! Once in-home sessions were a go again (with a mask for me + lots of hand washing & distancing, of course!) mid-summer, I feel like everything took off full speed, and now it’s somehow the end of October and oh so close to my OWN maternity leave with Baby #3!!

Believe it or not, I have had the honor of photographing TWELVE growing families over the last few months. I may have delivered their galleries long ago…but there’s something about sitting down and sifting through my sessions to pull together a blog post that is so calming for me. Don’t get me wrong: I love a good stand alone image…but seeing the way photos and moments play against each other and come together to tell a complete story is just the best!

So, with that, enjoy a peek into my morning with James, Kaitlin, and Jake! This session was one I had been looking forward to for months. Kaitlin is a phenomenal business woman + creative, and I adore her work and style so, so much. So, it comes as no surprise that this nursery was one of the cutest I’ve ever seen! No detail was left missing! Even more than that, this little guy has been waited for for so many years. Jake and Kaitlin are so head-over-heels for James — their joy for this next season of life was so sweet. Capturing their first official family photos was truly a gift for me, and I’m so happy to share a few of my favorite moments with you today!
