Melissa knew she wanted something with a rustic, nature feel for their engagement session, so when I stumbled upon this amazing nook in the middle of suburban Indianapolis, I knew it would be the perfect spot! What I didn’t know is that we would end up meeting on one of the hottest nights of the summer last week, but Melissa & Jason were absolute troopers — nuzzling close and snuggling despite the humidity. Luckily for us, we had most of the park to ourselves (outside of a Pokemon Go player or two…) and were able to work quickly in the heat!

These two have been together for a while now, and as I got to know them it became so apparent just how well they get each other. Melissa was a little nervous at the beginning of the session, but Jason held her close and looked at her like he does, and all of her stress went away. I was so glad when they asked if Brayden could join for some of the session, too, as it was the first time Melissa had photos with her son since he was a baby! The three of them make such a beautiful family, and Brayden did a great job scouting out new locations for us (and finding Pokemon, too!). Ha!

I can’t wait for their Indianapolis Yacht Club wedding next month, and I know it will be here before we know it! Enjoy some of my favorites from our session! :)
