Hip, hip, hooray — Baby Everett is HERE!!
Oh man, guys. I don’t even know where to begin with sharing this beautiful, wonderful, joy-filled newborn session.
Kaitlyn and I have been Instagram friends for 8ish years at this point — we met briefly at a photography conference in Virginia back before either one of us was a momma and started following each other online, as one does. Haha! I think at one point we were even in an Instagram comment loop group together (am I remembering this right, K?!). So, needless to say, we’ve always been cheerleaders for each other’s business from afar!
Around three years ago, a mutual online friend (Abby!!!) started a group message on Insta about business things and we all hit it off — and eventually migrated our conversation to Marco Polo in order to communicate more clearly! It felt like an accountability group – a business mastermind, if you will, and I loved getting to talk through ideas and practices with them!
Fast-forward three years later, and our trio is still going strong – but we bypassed the business-only talk ages ago and have covered pretty much all things under the sun! Abby, Kaitlyn, and I have prayed with each other through the highs and lows of parenting and marriage, laughed with each other over the silliness of everyday mom/business owner things, brainstormed with each other through business transitions and new seasons, and discussed theology/politics/ALL THE THINGS. I’m so thankful for their friendship!
I’ll never forget when Kaitlyn shared that she and David were ready to try for Baby #3 — and the long + hard road of multiple miscarriages that followed, catching them completely by surprise after two easy + no-big-deal pregnancies before. (If you’re interested in reading more of her story, check out her profile HERE).
Needless to say, this sweet little man is such a miracle. And I’m still absolutely PINCHING myself that I was able to capture this season for the Phipps crew! Kaitlyn has joked about me driving to Virginia to photograph her family for pretty much forever, so I *knew* as soon as I heard of this little guy’s existence, that we would figure out a way to make it happen! :)
These images hold all the joy of a hope FULFILLED.
Watching Ollie snuggle and sing to his little brother…seeing Millie girl cuddle him close and twirl around his room…the way I kept catching Kaitlyn and David just in awe of their little FAMILY…gah. I’m just so, so thankful! And of course: getting to hug Kaitlyn in person and watch our kids play together and eat pizza together and spend time was the cherry on top! :)
Everett buddy, you are so incredibly loved. Welcome to the world, sweet boy — we are all so over-the-moon glad you are HERE. <3
