It’s *frigid* outside, so what better time to share some sunshiney autumn goodness from October than now! :)

The Schillers are family friends of a long time SRP family, and I was so thankful to get to meet them for the first time this past fall! As a mom of three boys, I always love the chance to capture brothers. After all, *no* chaos is too much for me (haha!), and we had a BLAST playing and exploring around the park together.

I’m such a firm believer in family photos in all seasons of life — even these wild little years where craziness rules most of the days! Haha! A lot of families come to me worrying that their kids “don’t listen” or “won’t smile when asked” — but here’s the thing, guys: *every* kid is that way! Smiling on command is never the goal!

The trick for joy-filled images that truly capture the magic is embracing the chaos! Let them be wild! Throw ’em in the air and twist upside down and run in circles and be goofy with them — sing their favorite songs and spin around and tell funny stories and you’ll be amazed at what we’ll capture.

Family photos don’t have to be a chore. Are they hard work? Yes — because of all the activities listed above! ;) But it’s work worth it. And it’s lots of fun!

Because having this season captured? Simply the best.
