I had been looking forward to Kim & Kent’s wedding ever since their engagement session back in the spring! Kim was my first #insta bride, but despite finding me on the big wide world of social media, our lives are actually quite connected! You see, Kim is from Cleveland but living in Indianapolis, and when she booked me in order to have a Cleveland photographer, we were just considering moving home to Indy! Haha! Regardless, I am so thankful that those pretty little squares brought us together, as Kim & Kent have been an absolute joy to get to know throughout the months!
We started the morning off at Debora Salon in Chagrin, and while the girls got ready, I snagged a fun spot for detail shots right next door! And yes…right next door definitely happened to be a Giant Eagle pumpkin & mum display…Haha!!! It was basically impossible to narrow images down for this post, so you might want to grab a cup of chai before scrolling down; it’s a long one!!! :)
Enjoy!
Once we got to the church, I took a few more detail photos to go with the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses Kim picked out!
How amazing are those dresses?!
Love these next few of Kim getting into her dress!!! Ahhh!!
Oh Kim, you are absolutely stunning!!!
Kim!!!!! :) :)
Work it girls!! LOVE this one!
And because this was just too funny to leave off the blog… ;)
Finally, it was time for the ceremony to begin! “Together is a beautiful place to be.”Two of the cutest bridal party members I’ve ever seen :) Haha!
Officially Mr. & Mrs.!!!
After the ceremony, we headed back out for some whole Bridal Party portraits! Loved this group so much!
Ahhh!!!! :)
Love love love!!!!
We then headed into downtown Chagrin! It was crazy busy, but Kim & Kent’s Bridal Party was AMAZING, and we made it work!! :)
Loved this cute Mr & Mrs sign by Gypsy Sole!!! The owner saw us taking photos out front and let us use it for a few photos :)
Fun Fact: This gazebo was the exact one where Kim’s parents took their own wedding portraits!!! I LOVE being able to have meaningful locations during the wedding day — it’s not always possible depending on the timeline, but I’m so glad we made it happen!!
Love love love!!!!
One of my favorites!!
After we finished up with portraits, we headed to The Tanglewood Club — the perfect spot for their reception!
While the guests ate, we snuck out for a few quick sunset shots — I’m sure Kim & Kent thought I was a NUT for happy-dancing as much as I did, but I just couldn’t help it!!! :) :) Love these SO much!!!
Then it was time for the party to begin! Kim & Kent had some of the most thoughtful toasts — they are so so loved!
Of course, Kim’s nursing friends had to give her CPR during “Stayin’ Alive” :) Haha!
Kim & Kent,
Thank you SO much for including me in your day; your wedding was one-of-a-kind and full of love like none I’ve ever seen! I am so excited for the two of you as you begin your life together — may you always hold tight to the promises you made on this day and remember to choose LOVE in all the ups and downs life brings! I hope you had an amazing honeymoon — but I’m sure Mac is glad to have you home :)
Congratulations!!!!
Love love love,
Sami

Wow! I’m in awe. I hope to learn enough to be this good some day. Especially with those macro shots! I just got a macro lens and am not so good with it yet. Great to connect with you through RTS.
Thanks Mariah!! Haha, I still have LOADS to learn, but I so appreciate your comment!!! You will LOVE your macro lens!! Keep practicing with it & make sure to have a very study hand when shooting! I’m not sure how you focus, but you definitely don’t want to focus/recompose with the macro — I manually move the focal point on my camera! Best of luck :) :)
I love all of your detail shots!!
Beautiful post and wedding!! Love the light for the couples session and such stunning detail shots ❤️
Thanks Krista!!!! :) I LOVED the lighting, too!!
