Ooh, I am just so excited for today’s post! If you read the title, you probably already have a guess at what I am sharing today, but before I even get into that, I want to give a quick shout-out to my website company!

In one of my best business decisions yet, I joined Showit5 this past summer when I launched the new website and brand. I absolutely LOVE being a “showiteer”!!! Showit has the best support team I’ve experienced so far — seriously, such a great community of people willing to jump in and provide help and feedback. And don’t even get me STARTED on the ability to switch up my design and/or site at the drop of a hat! Showit offers amazing templates (I’ve used ones from Tonic Site Shop and The Palm Shop) that you can customize however you’d like. Learning how to design in Showit definitely was still a learning curve and took lots of late nights and long hours last summer, but now that I know (the majority of) it, it’s just so fun!

I’ll have to share a post soon about all the benefits of a Showit site because I could go on and on. However, my favorite feature is the ability to design and create sub-sites within my own brand — which leads me to the real purpose of today’s post!!! :) :) :)

Introducing….the brand new Sami Renee Education website! 

When I thought about launching a few different educational options for beginning photographers, I knew it needed to be clearly communicated and have a home of its own. But most importantly, I knew that it just needed to be DONE! I’ve had so many people message me on Facebook in the past years asking for photo tips or business help, and while I’ve been able to pass along some knowledge, that’s just not the kind of thing that works best over text or Facebook message!

I am so excited to be launching the very first IN PERSON Photography Workshop for Beginners this April and can’t wait to share photography basics in an easy-to-understand and applicable way. The three hour workshop will cover topics like shooting in manual, finding great light, understanding composition basics, and capturing FUN true-to-life images, and we will have a blast while doing so! I’m also officially opening up mentoring options for current photographers interested in starting a business or taking their beginning business to the next level! I invested in a mentoring session this past year, and it was one of my favorite educational moments to date. Having the opportunity to speak with someone removed from your business and get their critical feedback is so important!
