A Peek Into My 2018 Wedding Season
In these last few days of my pregnancy (!!!), I thought it would be fun to share a peek into the beautiful weddings coming my way this year! I unofficially started my maternity leave after finishing up 2017 taxes last week (woohoo!!), but I will be officially “out of office” once our little one arrives through the end of May. And, while I am SO incredibly thankful to be able to take an extended maternity leave, I just know I will be itching to shoot again after so much time off!! I am thrilled for each and every one of my 2018 couples and can’t wait to celebrate the start of their lives together…it’s going to be an amazing year!
First up will be Patrick & Lindsay’s wedding at The Scottish Rite Cathedral! They are tying the knot while I’ll be on maternity leave, but I am so excited for them to work with Emily & James. I can’t wait to celebrate alongside them while editing their images!
My first official wedding back will be Sarah & James’s celebration at The Barn in Zionsville! We had SO much fun at their engagement session — James may or may not have given us a preview of his dance moves, and I can’t wait to see the two of them on the floor! Haha!
Christina & Kevin’s July wedding at The Ritz Charles in Carmel is going to be absolutely breathtaking! They loved the ease of having everything take place in one location — such a huge plus for both the wedding party AND guests!
And then we’ll be traveling up north for Kelsey & Jarrod’s Lake Wawasee wedding at the Oakwood Resort! Kelsey grew up spending summers on the lake. I can’t WAIT to photograph her as a bride on the very streets and lawns she ran around on as a girl!
Next up is Emily & Chris’s late July wedding at the Indianapolis Public Library — one of my absolute FAVORITE venues! It’s the perfect setting for an elementary school teacher, too. :)
Last but definitely not least will be Taylor & Jonah’s Cincinnati wedding at The Monastery in historic Mount Adams! These two are the sweetest, and Taylor’s older sister is one of my best friends! What a perfect way to wrap up the year!
There are also a few more couples getting married this year whose engagement photos I haven’t done yet!

Overall, it’s shaping up to be an amazing wedding season. Owning a boutique wedding business (meaning I only photograph a certain number of weddings a year) is such a dream come true for me. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of so many best-day-evers and can’t believe that I get to call this my job!! We’re already booking into the 2019 season, too…and it’s just such an honor. So, here’s to all the joy-filled occasions & happily ever afters life can bring, friend! I can’t WAIT!
