I am so excited to share Matt and Kerstin’s fall wedding at The Barn at Kennedy Farm with you today! The open lawns and gorgeous barn made for the perfect backdrop for their day, and, despite the stormy weather, Matt & Kerstin had an amazing celebration. It’s so refreshing to be around a couple truly in love. And, when you add in the overwhelming support and love of their closest friends and family, the atmosphere just can’t be beat! Having the chance to capture the joy Matt & Kerstin share at the start of their marriage was an honor, and I am so glad to share my favorites with you today!
But first, a huge thanks to the amazing vendor team that made this day possible:
Ceremony & Reception Venue: The Barn at Kennedy Farm | Florist: Lilly Lane Flowers and Events | Dress: Blue House Bridal | Tux/Suit: Men’s Warehouse | Invitations: Paper Source | Caterer: Your Budget Catering | Cake: Heavenly Sweets | Ceremony & Reception Signage: Handmade Hoosier | DJ: Event One
Kerstin & her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite at The Barn! It was such a beautiful room — well worth the hike up the stairs. :)
And then it was time for their first look! This is always one of my favorite parts of the day!
Stunning!!!
After Bride & Groom Portraits, it was time for the whole Bridal Party to join us! How amazing are these bouquets?! Lilly Lane Florist & Events knocked them out of the park!!
As soon as we finished family portraits, it started to downpour! Luckily, the inside of the barn was nice & cozy :)
Both cake cutters pictured on the right are from their parents’ weddings!! How neat is that?!
And then it was time for the ceremony to begin! People often assume that a first look ruins the emotional impact of the traditional ceremony, but Matt’s reaction to his bride was anything but. And when Kerstin’s father paused and raised his hand in the air to recognize all that God has done to bring them to that moment…I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room!
Officially Mr. & Mr. Sauer!! After the ceremony, we ran outside for a few “Just Married” portraits in the drizzle. Love these so much!
