Ooooh I am thrilled to share Part One of Dean & Kelsey’s engagement session with you today! And yes — you read that right!! Part One!!! After about 5 seconds of debating, I decided it would be impossible to narrow their whole session down to one blog post, so I will be sharing the lifestyle portion today and the rest of our session next week! Besides, today’s post is entirely fitting as it is National Donut Day…who knew?! :)

When Kelsey told me about her vision for some photos in their first home together, I was immediately on board!! I love that we were able to capture some real life images: snuggling on the couch, cuddling with Rosie, and sharing a donut or two, too! :) This was the absolute perfect way to end our time together, and I hope I get to capture more cozy at home sessions in the future like this!

However, while the donuts were pretty awesome, this session was so special to me for a whole different reason. You see, Kelsey was one of my college roommates in Phi Mu, and nothing has made me happier than seeing her find the love of her life in Dean. These two are some of the kindest, funniest, and most generous people I know, and I am so happy that they are together. They complete each other in every meaning of the phrase, and I am honored to be able to document this special time in their lives!!! I cannot wait for their September wedding!
