It’s time for one of my favorite blog posts of the year: 2022 Weddings in Review!
I’ve always loved looking back over the year and sharing a few favorite shots from the incredible celebrations I was able to be a part of. This year’s post feels especially special, as the majority of these weddings haven’t yet been blogged!
I used to blog every wedding I shot as an automatic part of my workflow, because I truly do LOVE my couples and love sharing their joy with you! However, that step took a backseat this year as I prioritized the pieces that best served my clients AND my family. It’s the ever-adjusting process of navigating work/life balance in each new season of motherhood, and one I am so thankful for as a small business owner!
Needless to say, I am so happy to get to share each of these days with you now! I had the honor of celebrating with eight incredible couples over the year – each with a unique story and and special vision for their wedding.
One consistent thing in all of their celebrations?
Honoring family.
Capturing my couples with their people is just the absolute best — my favorite part about this job — and I loved all the unique approaches to the wedding day that so wonderfully reflected their families.
From bread-breaking and kid’s table activities, to generational wedding portrait displays and coordinated dances, to heart-filled toasts and time-honored traditions, every day celebrated the foundation of family and recognized the impact each of us have on one another.
What a gift to be family.
And, at the end of the day, isn’t this what a wedding day is all about? The start of a new family. Gah! I get emotional just thinking about it!!
But, enough of me. Let’s get to the images!! :)
To each of my couples, thank you. Thank you so much for inviting me into your family — into the (beautiful) chaos of a wedding day — and sharing these moments with me. It’s such an honor, and one I don’t take lightly. You are simply the best, and I’m so glad to know each of you!Â
