I had been looking forward to Lauren and Kraig’s elegant Indianapolis barn wedding at the Bay Horse Inn ever since their engagement session this summer. You may remember that one — where we accidentally crashed a huge reggae festival and spent the entire hour non-stop laughing our way around the Canal?! Haha! I’m happy to share that it wasn’t just the odd juxtaposition of reggae-meets-romance that brought out their laughter. Rather, that’s just how life is with Lauren and Kraig: genuine, joyful, and oh-so-FUN, too!

They are easily two of the most relaxed people I have ever worked with, and Christa and I felt right at home the entire day! Lauren’s sister said it best in her toast: Lauren consistently puts others’ needs before her own, but Kraig always has her first. And, as excited as I am to share their wedding day with you today, I am even more thrilled for the future these two have together! The girls got ready in a cozy inn attached to the property, and it was the perfect fall morning! Kate Shaw worked her magic (seriously, brides: check her out!!) while everyone relaxed on the many couches and snacked on Panera.

Lauren’s first look with her Dad was so, so sweet! I love that so many brides have started incorporating this moment into their day. But then it was time to finally meet her groom!

Oh I just love these two so much!! This one’s a favorite!!

And don’t even get me started on all the fall colors….ahhh!!!

And then it was time for the ceremony. Bay Horse Inn has an amazing outdoor ceremony set-up, and with florals from One of a Kind Events, it was simply jaw-dropping! Michelle knocked it out of the park!

Officially husband and wife!! After reading hand-written vows and sealing them with a kiss, it was off to capture a few “Just Married” portraits! Whenever inquiring brides ask me about my favorite part of the day, it’s this: right here. There’s nothing like the joy of finally being husband and wife!! This may be my favorite photo from the entire day!

And then it was time for the party to begin! Bay Horse Inn’s barn is not your typical Indiana space: it’s elegant and timeless, with gorgeous high wooden beams, white walls, and a romantic floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Brooke Blue Design transformed the space into the perfect setting for Lauren and Kraig’s reception!

After all the formalities were over, My Yellow Rickshaw kept the dance floor full all night long! Seriously, one of my favorite wedding bands out there!
