As a lifestyle newborn photographer in the greater Indianapolis area, I get to meet & snuggle quite a few new babies. And every time I walk away from one of these sessions, I’m reminded of why I do what I do. Capturing images of a new or growing family in their own home during those first few weeks? It’s amazing. After all, let’s face it: life with a newborn is anything but peaceful and calm at times! But newborn sessions? They give me the chance to allow new parents to pause and rest. To snuggle with their little one, to soak in the craziness of the past few days, and to realize their new role as parents. It’s such an amazing gift to receive and an even more amazing one to give away, and I am so glad I had the chance to do with the Mattox family last Saturday.

Baby Claire is as sweet as she could be. She loves her momma fiercely and already feels most safe and secure in her daddy’s arms. And Laura and Sky? Seeing the way they interacted and loved on her was so beautiful! It’s already so clear how much they love their little girl, and I am overjoyed to share my favorites from their session with you today!
