Looking back on the beautiful weddings I had the honor of photographing this past year, I can only come up with one word: thankful.

Thankful for the best couples a photographer could dream of, thankful for happy texts and awesome referrals, thankful for gorgeous weather (and breaks in the weather for those rainy June days, too!!), thankful for being able to do this job that brings so much JOY and life and laughter!! I could say all sorts of things about this season; after all, I more than doubled my number of weddings from 2014, I was able to invest in top-of-the-line equipment and education, and I traveled to four different states throughout the year! However, none of those things really matter in the grand scheme of things.

What really matters? Being able to document one of the most important days of a couples’ life together in a timeless and enduring way. Capturing the love, joy, and commitment represented at each of these weddings in order to serve as a permanent reminder of their vows — THAT is why I do what I do :) This wedding season was my best yet, and I am so excited to share my favorites with you today! Enjoy :)
